  • Where are you located?

We are on the ground floor of 169 Pirie Street, Adelaide, 5000. Located on the south eastern side of Hindmarsh Square.

  • How can I can I get there by car?

There is ample on-street parking on Pirie St and Hindmarsh Square adjacent 169 Pirie Street.

Two public car parks close to the practice are:

    • Wilson Parking, 131 Pirie Street - entry and exit via Hyde Street
    • UPark, 191 Pirie Street - entry via Flinders Street with pedestrian exit onto Pirie Street

  • Does the practice bulk bill?

Yes for full pensioners or Seniors Card Holders and Veterans Gold Card holders for consultations. For items not covered by Medicare, visual field tests (perimetry) to exclude or monitor, glaucoma, and for procedures, gaps may apply.

  • How long will my consultation take?

As a new patient you should probably allow 1½ hours.

  • Will I be able to drive after?

Usually you will need dilating drops which can blur your vision and increase glare on a bright day. You may wish to not drive for an hour or so after and bring your sunglasses.

If I need a procedure when will I find out date and out of pocket expenses?

For your convenience, dates for procedures are organized at the same visit, and full informed financial consent is given, so you know all the out of pocket costs you are likely to need to pay. However if you are privately insured, you should also check with your fund about out of pocket expenses.

  • Is there full disabled access?

Absolutely. Our new site was specifically selected to be easily accessed by the disabled with no steps, ramps, or stairs to be negotiated to enter the practice. There is on street carparking and loading zones directly out the front of the practice.

  • How do I get there by public transport?

The practice is convenient for bus and tram, and a slightly longer walk from the Adelaide Train Station.  There are many local coffee shops and cafes and Rundle Mall is just a short walk away down Pulteney Street.
