The Fred Hollows Foundation
The Fred Hollows Foundation is a non-profit development organization based in Australia and founded in 1992 by eye surgeon Fred Hollows.
The Foundation focuses on treating and preventing blindness and other vision problems. It operates in Australia, The Pacific, South and South East Asia, and Africa.
The work The Fred Hollows Foundation does has a very clear purpose: to make sure everyone, whether they’re rich or poor, has access to high quality, affordable eye health.
SAHMRI
SAHMRI’s mission is to empower communities to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based, high quality eye health care through the provision of research, education and equipment.
The South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) is South Australia's first independent flagship health and medical research institute. SAHMRI is home to more than 700 medical researchers, working together to tackle the biggest health challenges in society today.
Everything SAHMRI does is geared towards one vision: conducting inspired research that will lead to better health outcomes.
Sight for All
Sight For All is a social impact organisation, developed in South Australia, that delivers eye health care projects free of charge to their partner countries and communities, with the ultimate aim of reducing vision impairment and blindness.
Sight For All’s key mandate is to create sustainable eye health solutions in collaboration with doctors and nurses from our partnering countries. The funding necessary to keep this dream alive comes in many forms, but often they are project specific.
