SMILE Pro offers a revolutionary approach to laser eye surgery, providing a less invasive alternative to LASIK. With no LASIK flap, SMILE Pro reduces the risk of flap-related complications, and the smaller incision may result in better corneal strength, stability, and less dry eye.
Why Choose SMILE Pro Over LASIK?
Unlike LASIK, SMILE Pro doesn’t require a large corneal incision or a second laser. This cutting-edge procedure may offer better spherical aberration control, potentially improving night vision and reducing discomfort during the process.
With SMILE Pro, there’s:
SMILE Pro combines the safety of PRK with an even faster recovery time than LASIK. Unlike PRK, which can take up to a week for normal activities, 99% of SMILE Pro patients can drive the very next day without glasses or contacts.
Unlike LASIK, SMILE Pro doesn’t create a flap of corneal tissue. The minimally invasive procedure uses a 2mm micro-tunnel incision, compared to the 18mm cut in LASIK. This smaller incision helps maintain corneal strength, reduces dry eye risk, and may result in a larger optical zone for sharper vision.
SMILE Pro uses the latest laser technology to reshape the cornea. The procedure is fast and precise—lasting just a few seconds per eye—creating a treatment uniquely designed for each patient.
Laser Vision SA has been offering SMILE® vision correction since 2014, with fantastic results for patients.

The Zeiss Visumax laser creates a thin, lens-shaped layer (the lenticule) within the cornea, without any blades or noise. This takes just 2-3 seconds and is customized to your visual needs.
The lenticule is gently removed through a tiny 2mm incision, adjusting the shape of the cornea to correct your vision. There’s no need to remove any surface skin of the eye.
The minimally invasive nature of SMILE Pro leaves the cornea intact, with less structural change than LASIK or PRK. This preserves corneal strength and stability while delivering precise vision correction.
SMILE Pro is ideal for patients who are short-sighted or have astigmatism. It’s suitable for those with prescriptions ranging from -0.75D to -12.5D. Whether you’re near-sighted, far-sighted, or have astigmatism, SMILE Pro could be the solution for you!
